At iTRANS, students and new graduates are given the opportunity to learn and develop new technical skills and to apply them to real-life situations, including: road and highway design, transit operations, intersection capacity analysis (using the Highway Capacity Manual, Canadian Capacity Guide, and Synchro), traffic forecasting and queuing analyses, traffic signal optimization and design. These skills may be applied to a wide variety of projects, such as community transportation studies, municipal master plan studies, transit studies, traffic studies for new residential and commercial developments, and traffic safety studies. All ideal candidates will have a passion for transportation planning and engineering, a desire to work in a team environment, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, display strong organization and planning skills, and hold a strong commitment to client service and satisfaction.
